What happened to free USA shipping?

While we have tried to offer attractive shipping options for as many countries as possible, our DHL carrier now require all shipments to the USA to be completed as pDDP (Postal Delivered Duty Paid). This means that the customs tariffs are payed by the sender.

As an example, for Bus Driver units which have arrived in the USA in the previous month, we have received an invoice from DHL for around 50 Euros (59 USD) per unit. As much as we would like to continue to offer free shipping to the USA, given the increase in delivery/export charges, we have no alternative but to pass on some or all of these costs to the buyer.

What does that mean for you:

If you are in the USA and you have already received units from us in the last time: No action is required.

If you are in the USA and are thinking of purchasing a unit from us: You will now see a charge for shipping/tariffs added to your order, in the online store and other sales channels.

We will continue to update the shipping costs and try to provide our customers with the best possible value across the product range. The USA import tariffs are an unfortunate and unnecessary tax on the American people. As much as we would like to help out in this situation, we are not in the position as a company, to absorb such a tax.
